Your GTPC board members have been working hard behind the scenes. Permits have been secured for our outdoor space behind the curling club and we look forward to the start of the summer season! Stay tuned for further information on when we’ll transition to outdoor play and the days/times we’ve secured for GTPC!
We, the board, have recently come to the decision that the punch card payment system is unwieldy and needs to be streamlined. The punch cards also create extra work for our wonderful court hosts and are a pain for our members. We listened to members who told us they find the punch cards inconvenient and costly. In addition, PayPal charges us for every transaction they process, so all of the punch card sales are costing us far too much in fees.
Effective immediately, all new annual memberships and renewals will be $300 and we are eliminating punch cards. This fee will afford you unlimited play throughout the year, thereby eliminating the ‘pay as you play’ winter fees. Essentially, we’re combining the membership fee with the court fees and allowing our members to pay up front, once per year. For regular players, this is the same as paying the previous $150 for your membership and purchasing three punch cards over the winter.
We will also be phasing out PayPal and replacing it with e-Transfer. Memberships may be renewed by e-Transferring to email@example.com
We encourage you to use up any punch cards you have before the end of the indoor season. Should you run out before our outdoor season begins, you can pay cash at the door for your court fees for the remainder of the indoor season. Anyone purchasing a new or renewal membership from this point on will simply have to tell the court hosts that they are under the new payment system, so no punch card required.
Summer only memberships will now be $100. Schedule and further information to come.
